ASD Dimensions, Inc. was created with the vision of educating the community, assisting individuals diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and enabling families to deal with the dynamics of life on the spectrum.

My name is Ceil Shanahan, owner/director of ASD Dimensions, and I have been in the field of Exceptional Student Education since 1982. I have worked with many, many children with a variety of abilities.

In 1995, I had the honor of piloting the first classroom in St. Johns County for students with ASD. Several years into the program, while speaking at an Early Childhood Conference about how to successfully involve and include children with ASD into mainstreamed environments, my information was received with a multitude of requests: “Could you come speak at our daycare?” “Could you come visit our church preschool?” The desire to both know and apply practical solutions was only overshadowed by the frustration of not knowing and not applying in their early childhood centers.

Thus, my dream began. To spread the word, to calm the fears, to provide simple, practical strategies to enable ALL children to simply belong.
